On Saturday May 2nd, immediately following the monthly club meeting, we will be hosting a painting day and need volunteers. The task is to paint all of the exposed wood under the shade structure as it is starting to fade and we want the wood to remain protected.
The club will provide the paint, drop cloths, and hotdogs for lunch. We ask that volunteers bring a 2″ brush or 4″ paint roller (or one of each), along with a 6′ or 8′ ladder. Our Field Marshall and a few volunteers will be out the proceeding Saturday to pressure wash the wood so that it is dry and ready to accept paint.
We should be able to knock this out rather quickly, with a team rolling the flat surfaces, and another team coming behind them to get into the corners and edges. The more people that show up, the faster it will go. Please come and support this effort right before the first scheduled event of the year – our War Bird Fly-In!
See you there.
