We will hold our Club meeting this Saturday, August 1st at 10:00 AM. We’ll keep the meeting brief, as the temperature will rise quickly. The agenda is light, but I want to update everyone on an important development.
I’ve been working with the probate attorney handling Mike Reinath’s estate, and we’ve arranged for all of Mike’s airplanes and equipment to be donated to our Club. Mike’s sister, the sole heir, and I both feel strongly that Club members should have the first opportunity to acquire any of his RC planes.
Following the meeting, Neil and I have rented a truck and will be transporting Mike’s planes and equipment from his home. Everything will be moved to my hangar at Lodi Airport, where we will photograph, list, and assess all items.
Once the inventory is complete, Club members will have first chance to purchase any items they’re interested in by making a reasonable donation to the Club. The initial goal is to cover the cost of the truck rental and supplies needed for transport. Any remaining funds from the sale of Mike’s planes and equipment will go directly into the Club’s account.
