TRCM Meeting Minutes, April 2025

I. Call to order: 10:10 The meeting was delayed while we had a missing man formation fly over, in rememberance of the three pilots we’ve lost in the last several months. They were Ted DeLong, Dick Wareham and Mike Reinath. We want to thank the three pilot’s from the Lodi airport, who were good enough to fly the mission for us. There were 17 members present.

II. Announcements from the floor:

III. Visitors and new members: Rosemary, Amelia, Ruthanne and Suzanne. Mark Gordon was a new member with two more prospects.

IV. Officer reports

President: Mark Huntley All the paperwork, to become a new member is now available on our website.

Vice President: Neil Gates Absent

Secretary: Al Doucette Had the usual calendars and giveaways.

Treasurer: Bob Keller We have 60 payed up members to date.

Field marshall: Randy Laney, Anthony Green Our 1953 Ford tractor needed a little work, an oil change and a new battery got her running again.

Safety coordinator: Nick Clayton Be safe and if you see something stupid, let it be known.

Webmaster: Neil Gates

V. Old Business: Painting of strips and X’s on the runway. White has to be painted first, before the yellow on the X’s.

VI. New Business: We need to paint the beams of the shade structure.

VII. Show and tell: Al Doucette brought his Bell H-13 (Mash) helicopter. Little known fact, all Army helicopters were named after Indian Tribes. The Bell H-13 was named Sioux, I made a mistake and called it an Iriquois, that’s the UH-1 Huey. The H-13’s were used to haul wounded to MASH (mobile army surgical hospital) hospitals during the Korean War. There was room to mount two stretchers on the cross beams of the landing gear.

VIII. Awards:

Name That Plane: Mark is having a hard time finding airplanes, but the “Name That Plane” is back up. You have to guess the correct name from four choices, Correct answers receive a raffle ticket.

Ace: Nominations Randy for his work on the tractor.

Oops award: Nominations Jeff G. for his beautifull roll and dive straight into the ground. Of course the wind was to blame.

Fence award: Nominations None
