Hello Pilots!
Event–The Radio Control Flyers Unlimited model airplane club will be holding a Giant Scale Fly In on Saturday and Sunday October 16th and 17th. The 2 day event will be held at our flying site on the north side of Woodward Reservoir in Oakdale, CA. All IMMA legal scale aircraft are welcome, except turbines, as the site is very dry.
Camping–We have plenty of RV camping available on site. Dry camping only, no hook ups. Camping fees are $30/night for Non Seniors and $15/night for seniors over 62. Camping fees are paid to the county, RCFU has no control over the camping fees.
Lunch–A BBQ hamburger and Hot Dog lunch will be served on Saturday only. Cost is $7 per person. Sides and drinks provided.
Early Arrivals–Pilots who wish to arrive early may sport fly on Friday before the event. Open field. The site will also be open for night flying on both Friday and Saturday nights.
Landing fees–$20 for the weekend, collected at the field. Please RSVP just to give me a heads up on how many are coming for lunch so we can be prepared.
Pilots meeting–Each morning at 8AM. Coffee and donuts provided for early arrivals.
All pilots must have a fire extinguisher in their pit area for fire protection. Our site is very dry. Also, any smoking must be done inside your vehicle. No open smoking on site is allowed.
