New Membership Application

TRCM is currently accepting applications for membership. If you are interested in joining our club, drop by one of our meetings at the flying field (first Saturday of the month at 10:00 am) and introduce yourself. You will find us friendly and willing to help you. Check out what we do, how we have fun, and get to know us. Visitors to our flying field are always welcome to stop by anytime.

TRCM dues are $100 annually for adults and $10.00 annually for Juniors (18 and younger). There is a Field Assessment Fee of $200 due at time of application.  The Field Assessment Fee is waived for Junior members. The online application will calculate this automatically.

Due to new FRIA (Federally Recognized Identification Areas) approved by the FAA, all recreational UAS hobby pilots must not only have AMA Insurance but also take the TRUST test and obtain a TRUST certification number; as well as register with the FAA and obtain a small UAS FAA#.  These are new requisites going forward for all radio-controlled aircraft and TRCM Club members. You can access the AMA site here for membership:

https://www.modelaircraft.org/

GETTING THE TRUST CERTIFICATE – The FAA TRUST Certificate is free to obtain after passing a simple online test. The test is organized into 4 parts with some reading and then some multiple-choice questions. You can’t fail this test; you will be prompted to answer correctly until you get it right. The TRUST Certificate is good for life and needs to be on your person whenever you fly a model. You can access the TRUST test here:

https://trust.modelaircraft.org/group/4/module/4/answer/63

OBTAINING THE FAA-UAS REGISTRATION – It is very simple to obtain an FAA registration number. The cost is $5 and it’s good for 3 years. You can access the FAA registration process here:

https://faadronezone.faa.gov/#/register

Once you have your FAA registration number, The number must be on the outside of the aircraft, it can be placed in an inconspicuous place like the underside of the elevator.

Thank you for doing your part by completing these simple steps to help protect our flying site

NOTICE: All new members must first fly with an advanced or expert TRCM member standing next to them in order to evaluate their flying capability before they are permitted to fly by themselves.

Please use the TRCM General Form below for new member application, existing members to renew their annual membership dues, club officer renewals and for visiting pilots. Note that adult renewal dues are $100 annually, with a reduced rate of $75 if paid by the end of January.
