Our next club meeting is scheduled for this Saturday August 3rd at 10am. Immediately following the meeting is our previously announced Pattern Fun Fly and Learning Session.
Additionally, we will have a special raffle event. Dixie Kleinberg, Widow of former member Bob Kleinberg, graciously reached out to our club to donate Bob’s RC collection to us. Apparently Bob often spoke fondly of our raffles, and they were the highlight of the meetings for him. A club officer went to the Kleinberg home and helped clear out the workshop, saving only the items that might be worthy of passing down. Bob was heavy into Nitro and built-up planes, so his collection favors those traits. There are a few planes, including a very nice Corsair (Dixie says it was the pride of his collection) that seems ready to fly but hasn’t yet. There are also engines, tools, covering, and accessories, many of which we might see at one of our raffles (Coincidence? I think not :-).
Bring some cash to the meeting and lets get these items passed on to a good home!
