Just wanted to give everyone a quick update on the new runway. The material is currently being ordered and should arrive around the first week of April. We are storing the new runway material with a contractor in Tracy and they will bring it to our field when we have everything prepped and ready. We have an RC club in Fresno that wants our old runway and is willing to come out and help remove it. With that, the youth group at my church is looking for work to help raise funds for their ministry. I’m thinking this would be an ideal job for these eager and young kids with strong backs and good knees. The work to remove, prep, then install the new runway will be coordinated with weather and soil conditions. Updates and times will then coordinated to whatever times that will be.
We also had one of our best IMAC turnouts since pre-Covid! Here are the results of the contest
