V. Old business: Don Brown showed his Pattern airplane and explained the difference between IMAC and Pattern. Of course, if you’ve been in the club for the past few years, you’ve watched, or been part of the IMAC contests we hold a couple times each year. Pattern is different, in that, the planes are smaller, wingspan not larger than 2 meters, are not to scale and can be electric. There are no set maneuvers. The maneuvers, chosen by the pilot, are judged. Is much easier than IMAC, but the takeoffs and landings are judged.
It was announced, at the last meeting, that we would draw raffle tickets until someone found the joker to win the AT-6 airplane.
VI. New Business: Upcoming events TRCM will be hosting. The IMAC events June, 8th & 9th and September 7th & 8th. We will also be hosting an NRSC Pattern event. Don’t know the date yet.
VII. Show and tell: Don Brown brought his new Pattern plane.
VIII. Awards:
Name that Plane: None
Ace: Nominations: None, the ACE award has not been returned.
Oops award: Nominations I must apologize, I did not get the names of the two members who were nominated, along with Bob Keller. One member landed his Hawker Typhoon, short of the runway, tearing off his landing gear, when his eyes started watering so bad, he couldn’t see to land. Another member, spirled his Franken Stick 12 inches into the mud, after losing radio signal. Captain K did a great job of selling Bob, with his embellishment of observance of Bob’s Yo-
Can-Do 60, spireling into the ground, burying the engine 18 inches in the mud. Of course, Bob was the winner. Bob said it took him about 3 hours to clean the engine.
Fence award: Nominations None
Adjourn & raffle Meeting adjourned at 10:41
Once again, I had a chance to draw to win the airplane, but no luck. I can’t recall how many tickets were drawn, but Dick Anderson’s tickets were drawn three times, before he finally found the joker. on the third try. Congratulations Dick, enjoy your new airplane.
