As I was running the meeting and taking notes, I’ll do my best to relate what was discussed during our short meeting.
No new visitors or new members
Officer reports where limited as most were not able to attend. Mark Huntley ran the meeting with membership present.
It was confirmed that our new meeting times will be the first Saturday of the month at 10:00 – at the field
We confirmed nominations for club officers for 2023. Mark will send out a survey to everyone. Elections will take place at the December meeting and new officers will take their positions beginning January 1st.
Mark and Neil surveyed the field with a frequency analyzer both from the ground and in the air via an airplane. The information that was gathered was inconclusive. It was discussed that we should all understand and know how our fail-safe system should work on our radio systems as each one is different.
Make sure your AMA and FAA numbers are placed on our RC aircraft as required. Our web site will be updated shortly to help with the links
We will be hosting a balloon burst on Saturday November 19th. More details to follow with flyer
There was no raffle for this meeting. However, those that correctly got the “name-the-plane” correct will be awarded a free raffle ticket at or next meeting. The winners were: Socoli Solis, Paul Madruga, Jacob Lloyd, Donald Lloyd, Wally Felahy and Dennis Campell. The correct plane was the Curtiss XP-23 which was based on the Curtiss P-6E. We Had a total of twelve submissions with these individuals getting the correct answer. Nicely done! Stayed tuned for the next one which will be out shortly,
We awarded both the Oops and Ace trophies. Remember if you get one, you owe us a beer as we honor and admire your newly achieved status.
Thats the best I could do for now for notes on the meeting. Looking forward to having Al back and doing a much better job.
Remember to attend the December meeting as we elect our new officers, and we need your attendance and support for this very important process.
